| So, if anyone recalls a post last week or so I had mentioned that it looked like my timing was off. I went to a road course a month ago and had my clutch fail on me. The engine sounded buttery smooth as I was hobbling back to the paddock and then the car died w/o the clutch. After starting again I immediately realized that the idle was completely off and something was not right. Tell me this isn't an awesome shiner. That is brutal, and then you can see where the belt likely grabbed the bolt and spun it around the crank at some point. Greg saw my post and immediately suggested that it was the bolt in the tensioner which likely was left in (I never recall removing it permanently either). Hopefully no bent valves....will replace belt this weekend and start her up hopefully by Sunday. The area of the oil pan and the front seal looks intact...the integrity of it I mean.
